HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

Technically, I’ve been planning weddings since the third grade. Kidding, kind of. When my teacher assigned us the “Million Dollar Project”, we were told to use "real life" math skills to improve our financial literacy. Most students invested in the stock market, started college savings funds, built homes, bought cars, or started businesses. I chose to plan my very own, “Million Dollar Wedding.”

Fast forward to today, I’ve now been planning events for the last 15 years. Though I now call Chattanooga home, I previously lived in Colorado where I produced numerous music festivals, food and wine events, charity dinners, races - you name it. So when I got engaged in 2020 to my now-husband Parker, I could not wait to finally plan my own wedding. While I didn’t have that million dollar budget, I planned every detail from start to finish. Details are everything to me, and nothing brings me more joy than an aesthetically pleasing, well-executed event.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?

Totally depends! I don’t like package pricing because no two weddings or events are the same. I’d rather get to know you and figure out what elements you want to handle before throwing out some arbitrary number.

I’M WORRIED THAT HIRING A PLANNER MIGHT BE TOO EXPENSIVE. IS IT WORTH THE COST?

100 percent. Not only do you need a planner, you deserve a planner. There is this misconception that having a planner is an expensive luxury and people often assume it won’t fit within their budget. By hiring me, I will be able to HELP you stay within that budget. I will save you money. I will tell you what you need and what you don’t need. The average couple spends over 500 hours planning a wedding. With my help and vendor relationships, those hours can be spent enjoying your engagement with your fiancé, family and friends!

WILL I STILL HAVE SOME CONTROL OVER MY WEDDING IF I HIRE YOU AS MY PLANNER?

Absolutely! This is YOUR day! I’m just here to help. I will do as much, or as little, as you want me to during the wedding planning process. We will iron this out during the proposal phase.

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW YOU’RE DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHER WEDDING PLANNERS OUT THERE?

Let’s face it - there are A LOT of decisions to be made when it comes to a wedding. If you don’t have a planner, those decisions can become overwhelming and stressful. This should be one of the most joyous times of your lives, so I am there to take all the stress away and let you both focus on the exciting stuff like cake tastings and gown fittings without worrying about vetting different vendors.

During our initial meeting, I will ask a lot of questions about YOU. That’s because I want to get to know you as a couple first and foremost so that we can plan a wedding that is not only customized to fit your style, but one that is authentically you.

I have great relationships with wedding vendors here in Tennessee, and I still have a few available dates left for 2023!

ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR EVENTS OUTSIDE TENNESSEE?

Absolutely! Weddings and events under a one-hour drive from Chattanooga are always complimentary. After that, I will build my travel into the proposal.

WHAT IF I HAVE A LARGE-SCALE EVENT CONCEPT, DO YOU HAVE A TEAM TO SUPPORT YOU?

Of course! I have a network of planners not only here in Tennessee but across the country. I will determine if we need extra hands based on the event or wedding size and concept.

I KIND OF WANT TO PLAN MY OWN WEDDING. DO I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP?

Of course you want to plan your own wedding and you absolutely will. With me as your wedding planner, you can focus on the fun parts of planning your wedding while I handle the headaches that come with planning - rentals, timeline, wrangling RSVP’s, receiving deliveries, setting up, cleaning up… the list goes on.

If you hire me, you WILL still be planning your wedding. You WILL still have control over what happens at your wedding. I will just be here to guide you, focus you and keep you on budget. Day of, you’ll be able to just enjoy your wedding. The day goes by too fast for you not to enjoy every second!

I HAVE A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER THAT IS GOOD AT PLANNING. CAN’T I JUST USE THEM?

Honestly, I wouldn’t. The only exception to this rule is if your friend or family member is an actual wedding planner. If they are, awesome. Even still, make sure you hire me for event management. You want them to enjoy your day too - not be running around wrangling vendors, dealing with messes, overseeing set up. Plus, you don’t want to be butting heads with a loved one during a time that should be joyous.

MY VENUE HAS A PLANNER. WHY DO I NEED ANOTHER ONE?

Most venues have coordinators. They are definitely helpful but they won’t make appointments for you, help with your event design, create your timeline, organize your rehearsal, let you know when it’s time to cut the cake, clean up your bridal suite, bustle your dress, make sure your photographer has your shot list, chat with the DJ and triple check songs and playlists…need I go on? My guess is that your venue will also recommend having a planner outside of their own coordinator.
